Brava Jazz Co-Owner | Composer | Arranger | Pianist

Annie Booth is a versatile and award-winning composer, arranger, jazz pianist, and entrepreneur. She has received national recognition for her work as a composer with awards and grants from the likes of ASCAP, Downbeat Magazine, the Jazz Education Network, the International Society for Jazz Arrangers and Composers (ISJAC), and Chamber Music America. Her music has been performed by groups around the world, including the US Navy Commodores and the UNT One O’Clock Lab Band. Booth has released five albums as a bandleader and has appeared on more than a dozen as a side-musician.

Additionally, Annie Booth is a respected jazz educator and appears around the US and Canada as a guest artist-educator. In 2017, she created the She-Bop Young Women in Jazz Workshop to mentor and connect young women in jazz in the state of Colorado. She is currently on faculty at the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music in the Jazz & Commercial Music Program.

In 2022, Annie Booth teamed up with business partner and fellow composer/arranger Alan Baylock to establish Brava Jazz Publishing, whose mission it is to support and champion women composers and arrangers in the field of big band jazz by creating a platform for their music to be widely published and distributed. Annie resides in Denver, CO with her husband, Bryan, infant daughter Sylvie, and their two cats, Maggie and Loki and enjoys reading fiction, running, and doing yoga in her spare time.
