Leigh Pilzer is a DC-based saxophonist who leads her own bands at many of the region’s top venues. She is a member of The DIVA Jazz Orchestra and the Smithsonian Jazz Orchestra and has toured and recorded with both groups. 

Leigh is also a composer and arranger whose work is in the libraries of SJMO and DIVA as well as military, college, and professional jazz ensembles throughout the country. 

Leigh holds a doctorate from George Mason University along with degrees from the University of Maryland and the Berklee College of Music. She teaches Jazz Theory and Jazz Arranging at Maryland.
